The Mission of the Workshop Host Manager

Crockd is growing, we are stretching our legs and opening up our first ever creative studio / immersive retail space in Sydney. You will help Crockd to lead the way for creative mindfulness from this studio space.

In this new space, we will be igniting people’s creativity with unique workshops, and immersive experiences, and hosting both groups from the public and corporate events for team-building events and/or celebrations.

We are looking for a creative at heart to join the growing Sydney Team as a Studio Manager and Host of the Crockd Creative Space.

You will need to be an all-rounder with basic art knowledge, strong communication skills, and the ability to command a room all while staying energetic and approachable.

 

About the role

This is a rare and exciting opportunity for an independent creative go-getter to be the first manager of the brand new Creative Studio Space in Sydney.

You must be creatively inclined and passionate about making a fun and memorable experience for the Crockd patrons.

This is a full-time position and will require availability from Wednesday to Sunday and late-night trading hours based on workshop schedules. This role is hybrid, workshops will be hosted both online and in-store at different times.

Your tasks will include but are not limited to:

  • Conducting creative workshops with supplied instructions and technical guidance to patrons

  • Ensuring the experience and atmosphere for the participants is magical; music, supplies, and one on one support.

  • Maintaining and prepping the creative space for workshops; cleaning and setting up.

  • Operation of the kiln; Glazing & firing (we will teach you what you need to know)

  • Facilitating virtual workshops from the space for industry leaders for their team-building events and/or celebrations.

  • Driving sales and hitting monthly KPIs

  • Management of POS system and stock

  • Implementing brand visual merchandising strategies

  • Providing reports to Product Marketing Manager to continue to improve the customer experience

  • Management of staff roster

  • Coordination of Same-Day Deliveries and ‘Click & Collect

 

We do require the below experience

  • Basic knowledge of ceramics, art and/or craft creative mediums

  • Previous management skills, in any industry.

  • Ability to work independently under pressure

  • Strong communication skills and customer service skills

  • Ability to command a room all while staying energetic and approachable
